Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting to Nimbus Magazine!

Nimbus Magazine has no restrictions on subject matter or form. You can send us any of your original literary work or visual art including prose, poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction, drawing, painting, digital art, and photography of 3D art. We do not accept previously published work. To get an idea of what we are looking for, you can take a look at our latest issue, but we always appreciate submissions that take the magazine to new and exciting places.

AUTHOR ELIGIBILITY

We only accept works from current Bryn Mawr students.

FORMAT

Visual art: please submit work as a pdf or jpeg.

Creative Writing: please submit work as a google doc or a word doc.

A NOTE ON CONTENT

If you feel that your submission requires content warnings, please list them at the top of your piece and in the body of your email to the magazine.

Nimbus Magazine stands in support of all Bryn Mawr community members. As such, we reserve the right to reject any submissions that contain: racism, transphobia, homophobia misogyny, hate speech, fat shaming, xenophobia, or anything deemed hateful or mean-spirited towards any real life person/group of people.

DEADLINES

In general, submissions are on a rolling basis. However, there are cut-off dates in order to be considered for specific issues which will be updated for each issue. Please keep up to date with our Instagram for updates.
